“Greed, especially where it involves families, can be so devastating to those who wish to be fair and honest.
“It is often the case that the more spiritual members of the family are incessantly bullied by the others, who are greedy and expect that everything should come to them at the risk of the other members of the family, who are just as entitled to their fair share.
“This of course never worries the greedy as they only see what they can grab for themselves and how much.
“They have no thought or conscience to the other members and fairness is never in their vocabulary unless it is what is only fair to them.
“Often families are torn apart as a result of maybe one or two members who feel they are entitled to it all.
“Never of course have they ever offered a finger of support or consideration to the other members. That is never their way and so the few often disrupt the loving balance of the vast majority bringing in much despair and upheaval.
“These events are more noticeable at the time when a senior member of the family dies and it is literally the vultures that come out of the woodwork almost before the deceased member is even cold and laid to rest.
“Their greed and lack of compassion for the grieving is what is foremost in their minds and what they can extract for themselves at the earliest moments.
“Their demands often puts great strain on the other family members, who are trying their utmost to come to terms with their grief and practicalities that must be dealt with at that time.
“Entire families have been split for many years and it goes right down from the adults to the children.
“Families that were once reasonably close are now torn apart forever and all this because a person or persons thought they were entitled to more than their just desserts.
“Those greedy people by their very nature are always miserable. They are always in a state of wanting, their insatiable appetite for more is always there and can never be satisfied.
“They are obsessed with money and the accumulation of things and that alone is their religion.
“Their sole purpose for being is to acquire as much as possible for themselves with no compunction towards anybody else or their feelings.
“‘God’ in ‘His’ infinite wisdom and ‘His’ own loving ways, sees that this greed is only temporary and what they acquire through greed for greed’s sake is often taken away.
“Because of this, it causes a vicious circle because as that person often loses that gain, he/she must then replace it again at the earliest convenience.
“They can never learn that what they have gained wilfully by their lack of labour will never, can never, be held.
“So by Spiritual Law, what has been gained ruthlessly by foul means of greed will be removed in some way – they never can hope to hold on to it.
“What is unfortunate is that they never gain in the long term and whatever amount they have obtained by greed never gives them happiness.
“They are always left miserable once the initial euphoria of obtaining the amount given.
“It is like the lustre diamond or the fool’s gold, it sparkles to entice and then that lustre fades. It is but momentary and is no more.
“Why? Because there can be no lasting meaning to something that is acquired by the wrong method of appreciation.
“All those people who work hard in their lives and obtain success, either through their work/careers and where it has taken years to obtain that success, that wealth is deeply appreciated and cherished as it never came easy to them.
“It had to be worked for to obtain it and therefore is always lasting. That experience is the greatest wealth and brings the greatest contentment and can be shared by others.
“Those, who through their greedy ways, are never prepared to work for it, but wish it to come to them in an easy way, can never hold on to it. In time it is always lost to them.
“Through the years those people will never learn to change, so their lives are a constant battle of obtaining things to feed their insatiable appetite.
“They are always unhappy people, because enough is never for them enough.
“It is only when they pass from this life will they have to part with everything and then they will see what little they have obtained here on this Earth.
“The only gems you can pass with are the spiritual gems you have worked for and acquired. Everything material is lost to them forever.
“So with no spiritual wealth ever obtained, so their existence in the next dimension is one of hardship and much austerity until they begin to learn over many years what really is important and that is to love and to always share with others, no matter how little one has or how much.
“It is with the right intention of love that becomes the really valued thing.”
